A long weekend of sociability for this little butterfly.
Lindsay and Liz have been wunderbar in their chauffering of yours truly
all about the countryside. Destination? Land of Aucks, where I met with
my favourite people in showbiz- Brendyn and Finn. We all toddled off to
the Grada concert, whom, I must say, are in Very Fine Form and so much
tighter as a group than last year. A fab eve unfolded, curry with
Emily, coffee with the boys, tunes and Tahitian drummerless drummers at
the Caravanserai, boozer-watching at the Bollyx, and after all this I
got to wake up to hang out Ciara, Tadgh and Amanda, some of my
favourite kiddlywinks on the planet. That arvo caught the Cape Breton
theatre troupe at Forum North- twas most nostalgic listening to that
wonderful island accent once more, almost brought tears to me eyes.
Mobile phones. Gotta love em. My uncle tried to communicate to my dear
little sis Laura about arrival times, but ended up with serious
confusion as he recieved vicious texts involving slaps in reply. To
save the poor girls dignity at her obvious misunderstanding he texted
back saying how much he would particularly enjoy that slap. Upon
confrontation Laura was mystified, claiming to have not set eyes upon
any text message that day. A quick investigation into the matter
revealed that in actual fact Lindz had been in dodgy correspondence
with my extremely gay special effects classmate. Who was most
disappointed. |
