Yesterday Josca launched his wee vessel ‘Far & Few’ for the first time into the choppy toss of the Hokianga…We cracked a block of Green and Blacks over the hull, got a sailor’s hat from the op-shop and he captained it out into the great blue/brown

Next up we’ve been making the top, bottom, and corner blocks for the mould. This is reliant on all the surfaces of the blocks being flat to each other – my trusty little square and plane were up to the task. Precision, precision! And lots of curly wood chips. Nom.
We’ve lined up the lovely Rawiri Brown to be the designer for Josca’s wedding garb. Great guy, Josca’s look is going to be SWELL

Projects for me right now:
Working on some proposals for a new exhibition of little people based on all my character doodles over the years. Will hopefully exhibit up in the Hokianga and in Welly, with Josca being my partner in crime.
The Longdrops are back after a long hiatus and we hope to start gigging in September, with the lovely Tavish now on bass. I better practise my blues uke before then.
